Child Accident
Accidents to children are common, often due to their inexperience and natural curiosity.
If an accident to your child results in injury, for example,
- from a piece of playground equipment or
- from a defective product or
- from the actions of another person,
you may be able to claim compensation on behalf of your child.
In our experience, it is important not to prejudge the chances of success of a claim for a child and therefore important to get specialist advice.
We have expert child accident solicitors – Marie Morrison and Peter Brash – who will be able to help you.
What sorts of accidents do children have?
Moray Claims expert child accident solicitors have dealt with a wide range of child accident claims.
We will guide you through the whole process, efficiently and sympathetically, ensuring your child’s best interests are looked after at all times.
Types of claims we have dealt with include:
- Car accident claims involving children including child whiplash claims (even if one of the parents caused the accident)
- Defective playground equipment and ground coverings
- Poorly protected building sites constituting an allurement to children
- Defective toys
- School accidents
- Needlestick injuries
How long do I have to make a child accident claim?
The basic rule is that you have three years from your child’s 16th birthday to make a claim for compensation.
To have the best chance of succeeding, the claim should be made as soon as possible – this will ensure that all of the evidence needed (from both witnesses and documents) can be gathered while it is still fresh.
How can we assist you with your child accident claim?
Our children’s accident solicitors have many years experience in dealing with child accident claims.
Your solicitor will seek to recover compensation for your child’s pain and suffering arising from their injuries, and also for medical expenses incurred and other losses.
How we help you
- In most cases your child keeps 100% of their compensation
- Neither you nor your child pays anything if they lose their claim
How much will it cost to claim?
In most cases – nothing.
Moray Claims does not believe that an individual who has suffered already, especially a child, should have to pay to recover compensation for their injuries and expenses.
Therefore, you usually do not need to pay for our services.
Whilst many claims companies and solicitors will make an additional charge for their services, we try our best not to do that.
